About Yuu Kitchen
Yuu Kitchen Spitalfields opened in October 2016 and was the first site for Head Chef Jon de Villa following his departure from Nobu London. This was followed by a second opening in 2018 in Kentish Town’s Lady Hamilton pub.
The menu is designed for sharing, Yuu Kitchen recommends guests select at least 3-4 dishes, and is inspired by Jon’s travels across the Pacific Rim and Asia as well as offering a dedicated section to Filipino cuisine in a nod to Jon’s heritage offering diners an interpretation of dishes from his childhood. The Spitalfields restaurant also offers a standalone vegan sharing menu and a 10-dish bottomless weekend brunch.
Whilst the dining style is casual and relaxed the dining room offers a vibrant and dynamic setting; the walls are decorated with bold Manga-style works from Hong Kong-based artist Lunatic, lights hang in bird cages from the ceiling, and the high top tables and counter dining allows guests to watch live cooking in the open kitchen that features an open robata and charcoal grill.
