Chef Dominique Ansel Launches New “Fruit & Vegetable Patch Afternoon Tea” at Dominique Ansel Bakery London

Following the hugely popular first-ever Afternoon Tea service at Dominique Ansel Bakery, the celebrated Chef has announced that he is launching a brand new presentation for the classic tradition; an all-vegetarian “Fruit & Vegetable Patch Afternoon Tea,” launching on 5th March.

The Afternoon Tea menu invites guests into our garden, beginning with savoury bites from the vegetable patch, followed by sweet bites from the fruit patch, and ending by picking little fruits and catching tiny chocolate honeybees from foliage set atop the highest tier of our handmade ceramic-tiered stands. Warm scones are served with clotted cream and fresh strawberry jam.

This new Afternoon Tea menu is inspired by the joy and abundance of a springtime fruit and vegetable garden and a reminder that sunny days are ahead, when ripe fruits and vegetables sprout from the earth beneath and from bushes and vines coming to life after the chilly winter months.

“There’s something so exciting about that first signs of spring, when fruits and vegetables start to grow and you know that warm weather is coming up,” said Chef Dominique. “As chefs, it’s also always a welcome sign of all the bountiful ingredients coming into season that we’ll be able to work with. We wanted to capture that and transform a fresh fruit and vegetable garden into our very own afternoon tea.”
