Their Story:

Wattle & Daub is an exciting new restaurant from Weald and Downland Living Museum. Visitors will soon be able to experience a menu offering historical recipes focusing on local dishes such as Sussex Plum Pudding and Medieval Coffyn Pies.

The restaurant will also use vegetables and herbs from the museum’s allotments and bake bread from local grain milled in their own watermill.

Recommended Dish

We recommend any dish which features ingredients grown on site in the museums historic gardens. The hand-milled oats topped with local honey make a wonderful porridge for early starts.
