From today until the end of September Hello Kitty will be taking over Bubblewrap Waffle in Chinatown offering customers limited edition merchandise and an exclusive Hello Kitty Bubblewrap waffle.
The Hello Kitty Bubblewrap is made with a Red Velvet waffle base filled with Rose and Strawberry Gelato and topped with Whipped Cream, Chocolate Sauce, Fresh Strawberries and a bespoke Hello Kitty Chocolate. This limited edition treat is wrapped in a specially designed wrapper and priced at £7.99.
Hello Kitty herself will be visiting the store on Friday 21st September from 11.30am to 4.30pm to greet customers, give away 50 free Hello Kitty Bubblewrap waffles and launch a social media photo competition to win a life-size Hello Kitty plush toy she is bringing all the way from Tokyo, Japan.

In March 2016 Bubblewrap Waffle launched and their product instantly became a viral success. Initial Facebook videos created by Time Out & Buzzfeed amount to 33m views, 211k shares and 188k likes alone with the former being the highest performing Time Out London Facebook video in history. This viral mania alongside their unique ingredients lead to queues that still line the streets of Chinatown and an explosion in the “Bubble Waffle” dessert trend where stores opened across the UK selling replicas of their product.
