Facebook Live is an exciting and relatively new feature from Facebook which has been rolled out by the company slowly since 2015.
As the name suggests the feature is for live posting, in this case live video, now anyone can post live video through their profile or mobile by simply choosing the live icon when updating their status.
We believe this new feature may be a response from facebook to the popularity of Periscope which has been used for marketing of events and launches by restaurants, chefs, lifestyle and drinks brands.
So how can you use Facebook Live for your business? We believe there are 2 main reasons:
1. Short Term: Promoting an exclusive or time limited event, launch, party.
2. Long Term: Creating a series of marketing content such as recipes or tutorials (videos can be edited and embedded elsewhere after creation).
