Ekachai Malaysian Supper Club with Norman Musa

Our client South East Asian restaurant Ekachai are hosting a Malaysian evening with award-winning Malaysian Chef Norman Musa.
The event is on June 13th from 6.30pm at Ekachai Liverpool Street, costs £35 per person and features 6 courses of street-style Malaysian dishes featuring Chicken Loh Kei Bak, Venison Rendang and Lobster Laksa.
Introduction:
South East Asian restaurant Ekachai specialises in the overlapping street-style dishes of Thailand, Malaysia and Hong Kong and on June 13th the restaurant is highlighting their authentic Malay dishes with the launch of their Supper Club.
For their first Supper Club Ekachai has partnered with award-winning Malaysian Chef Norman Musa to create a 6-course menu of authentic Malaysian street-food inspired dishes. The menu will be cooked by Norman Musa on the evening and served on at their Liverpool Street restaurant on June 13th from 7-10.30pm for £35 per person.
Authentic Malaysian Dishes on Ekachai’s current menu include: Chicken Satay, Nasi Goreng, Char Kew Teow, Mee Goreng, Hokkien Mee, Laksa, Kway Teow Noodle Soup, Sambal Udang, Chicken Kapitan, Rendang, Nyonya Curry, Kangkung Goreng, Malaysian Sweet Pancake.
Supper Club Menu:
On Arrival: Fusion Canapés
Starters: Chicken Loh Kei Bak (pieces of chicken cooked with five spice powder and crunchy vegetables wrapped with tofu sheet, shallow fried and served with mild chilli dipping sauce) and Seafood Salad (a medley of seafood served with papaya, mango and pomelo cold salad with exotic Asian Fusion dressing)
Main Course: Venison Rendang (delicious rending infused with lemon grass, galangal and spices slowly simmered with venison) and Lobster Laksa (noodles in lobster broth served with bean sprouts, greens and boiled egg) and Ayam Percik (chicken thigh pieces marinated in turmeric and lemongrass, grilled and served with thick coconut and lemongrass gravy) all served with Jasmine Rice
Dessert: Tofu Fa (soya panna cotta with orange and strawberry compote served with crushed Oreo biscuits)
About Ekachai:
Ekachai is an honest, authentic and affordable restaurant that provides the real taste of Asia in a relaxed and casual environment. Ekachai was established in 1999 by two Hong Kong born restauranteurs with the concept of creating a menu combining their favourite childhood dishes. The first site was in London’s Liverpool Street and Ekachai have now independently grown to four outlets across London (Liverpool Street, Wandsworth, Selfridges Oxford Street and Selfridges Birmingham).
