Objectives/Brief

Fourteen Ten assisted Mien Tay Restaurants with publicity for their new Mien Tay Wine List which paired a selection of wines with their dishes in order to help manage the transition of their Battersea restaurant from BYOB (Bring Your Own Alcohol) to a fully licensed venue.

Strategy

We collaborated with Willie Lebus of the renowned Bibendum Wines to create a special menu which paired Vietnamese dishes with wines he carefully selected to compliment the dishes.

We then launched a publicity campaign to launch the new menu and held a special event for food writers and bloggers to try the paired dishes with the wine.

Results

  • The new wine menu has become a great success and increased turnover by around 20% despite losing some BYOB customers.
  • Our activity achieved 1.5 million opportunities to see news about the wine launch.
